About
My name is Earnest Jackson and I started building things at an early age. My curiosity for how things worked would drive me to take things apart and put them back together again. I worked for a few different carpenters throughout high school.
I met my wife while going to school for a music degree. I decided to take a one year trade school degree in building construction. I learned a lot that year and helped build two different houses.
During that year I spent a lot of time outside of class working with concrete as I did not have much experience with it before then.
After that year I took a job as a finish carpenter for a remodeling company where I was trained by a seasoned finish carpenter and ended up doing all of their finish carpentry work.
At that point in my life music was my main passion and I decided to go back to school to finish up a music degree in jazz performance. My wife and I moved to Denton Tx and I pursued that degree and played as a professional musician for a number of years.
During college at UNT I was working building aircraft cabinets for private jets. It was my part time school job.
Once I finished school I just played music and didn’t do a lot of carpentry work other than on my house or for friends.
A few years ago I started building some cabinets for a GC friend of mine and after my first set of cabinets I was hooked again on carpentry and building and I have been busy building since then.
I take great pride in my work and take the approach of building something that is designed thoughtfully and will last for generations.
